Role Description:

CMG is seeking experienced Project Planners at all levels to support our expanding project portfolio. As a Planner, you will be responsible for preparing detailed programmes during the tender phase and supporting the delivery team throughout the construction lifecycle. You will work closely with operational managers to ensure that progress is monitored, delays are identified, and mitigation measures are implemented efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain, and update project programmes from pre-construction through to delivery.
• Liaise with project teams to assess progress, identify delays or acceleration, and develop recovery plans.
• Analyse and manage project risk, recommending corrective action where necessary.
• Provide support during tender and contract negotiation stages, including transfer of programme intelligence.
• Lead the development and implementation of planning procedures across multiple projects.
• Support the commercial and delivery teams in relation to time-related contractual obligations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a planning role within the construction industry.
• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Proficient in Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of NEC contract conditions.
• Experienced in both front-end and live project planning.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must be eligible to live and work in the UK and willing to undergo SC or DV clearance if required.
• Nuclear experience desirable
• Construction experience desirable
