Role Description:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead commercial operations across a variety of projects. This includes overseeing procurement, cost control, payment processes, and final accounting. The role also involves mentoring junior team members and working in collaboration with company directors to ensure best commercial practices are upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee tendering processes and contractor selection.
• Manage commercial contracts, including payment schedules and final accounts.
• Provide strategic commercial advice across the business.
• Mentor and support Trainee and Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
• Ensure all cost reporting and financial tracking is accurate and timely.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Background in consultancy or main contracting.
• Strong commercial and contractual acumen, particularly with NEC contracts.
• Skilled in drafting Scope of Works and managing subcontract accounts.
• Excellent negotiation, financial management, and organisational skills.
• MRICS or MCIOB (preferred but not essential).
• Must be eligible to live and work in the UK and willing to undergo SC or DV clearance, if required.
